How to make paella with Caldo de Caldero de Santa Pola

The art of paella

Paella is a traditional and iconic dish in Spanish cuisine. It has become an essential foodstuff for all families. This peculiar rice dish, which can be prepared in different ways, can’t lack in a Spanish home during weekends.

The ways it can be prepared are, for instance, soupy rice, dry, with meat, fish, vegetables and an infinite array of options. Nevertheless, fish and seafood paellas are the more versatile in flavour. It always depends of the type of chunks you add in its preparation.

What’s best than having caldero de pescado (fish broth) on hand, and merging it with a stir fry that lets us intensify the flavour? With no doubt, this typical mixture of ingredients gives us a base full of authentic flavour.

Moreover, we can save time and money without losing the quality of our paella. But, what makes our caldero broth special? In the first place, it’s a 100% natural product handmade without salt, conservatives, additives, chemicals and gluten free.

In conclusion, we’re not only offering a healthy product, but you will also be able to use it daily and prepare different dishes that you will be able to enjoy with your whole family.

If you’re looking to prepare a paella with lots of flavour and gourmet style, next we are going to show you how to do it by only having in your hand our Caldo de Caldero de Santa Pola (fish broth) and the right fish chunks. You will be able to surprise your guests with these simple steps.

Ingredients for a gourmet paella:

  • 350g of rice (for 4 people).
  • Lobster as a fish chunk option (better if frozen as it’s cheaper and ready to use). It can be replaced with any other fish, eafood or mollusc.
  • Caldo de Caldero de Santa Pola (our fish broth).
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
  • Garlic and Salt.
  • Spicy bell peppers.
  • Tomatoes (optional)

Preparation:

  • Cut the lobster in small chunks. After this, chop or crush the garlic and live these to the side.
In a big cooking pot or caldero, add 6 tablespoons of olive oil and make a stir fry with the bell peppers and the crushed garlic (also the tomatoes if you’re adding them).
  • Once the stir fry is ready, add the lobster and mix it with the other ingredients.
  • It’s time to add the rice.
  • Once everything is mixed, add a can of Caldero broth and half a glass of water (for the 375gr can, 2 people) or a whole glass of water for the 750gr, 4 people.
  • Add salt to your liking and let it cook for 20 minutes.

This way, you will have prepared a gourmet paella in such short time and with Santa Pola’s caldero broth which offers the best flavour and freshness of the Mediterranean.
